Spending a Week at Village Creek State Park, Texas

We arrived at Village Creek on Sunday, March 17th and stayed until Sunday, March 24, 2013
This was a small state park but very beautiful lots of hiking trails and biking.

Walking the "Village Creek" Trail.  This state park is known for its canoeing and kayaking fun!

We selected Camping Site #21
Hiking the "Water Oak" trail.

It was a hot day hiking the "Water Oak" trail and Misty just had to cool off.

Red berry plant that was just beautiful on the "Tueplo" trail.  Forest Ranger said that it is an invasive plant.

It is certainly Spring Time in Texas!

On Sunday, March 24th we left Village Creek State Park for our next travel north of 50 miles to Martin Dies Jr. State Park (Mr. Dies was a Democrat who served in the U.S. House of Representatives.
